Rate limits

API keys and apps are limited per workspace:

Over the limit you get 429 with Retry-After, X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining and X-RateLimit-Reset, and the error code RATE_LIMITED. Wait for Retry-After seconds, then retry with backoff. A used-up plan allowance returns 402 (QUOTA_EXHAUSTED).

Errors raised by Hermios itself also carry a machine-readable code.

Status	Meaning
400	Invalid input, filter or field
401	Missing, invalid or expired token
402	Plan allowance used up
403	The token’s role does not allow this
404	Unknown object or record (or one the caller cannot see)
409	Conflict, for example a duplicate unique value
422	Valid JSON that cannot be applied
429	Rate limited
500	Server error: retry later, contact support if it persists

GraphQL errors

GraphQL returns 200 with an errors array. errors[].extensions.code is one of UNAUTHENTICATED, FORBIDDEN, BAD_USER_INPUT, NOT_FOUND, CONFLICT, GRAPHQL_VALIDATION_FAILED, GRAPHQL_PARSE_FAILED, METADATA_VALIDATION_FAILED, RATE_LIMITED, QUOTA_EXHAUSTED, TIMEOUT, METHOD_NOT_ALLOWED, APPLICATION_INSTALLATION_FAILED or INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR.
